I have a spreadsheet that contains about 200,000 rows of data, with subaccounts and parent accounts listed. I want to group the data by the parent account. When I remove the duplicate parent accounts on a separate sheet, there are about 150,000 rows left. Entering a sumif, =sumif(sheet1!a$2$:$a$200000,$a2,sheet1!d$2:d$200000), from one sheet to the next takes about 15 minutes for Excel to calculate one column and I have about 20 columns that need to be filled in. A pivot table would be ideal, but my source data contains over 1,000,000 rows of data and I have to use a lookup to add each parent account so it is not possible in this case. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
