Difference in Excel file Properties - General and Details?

Hi,

I am wondering what is the difference between Excel file Properties - General and Details?

I am trying to obtain the Created Date, but both have different dates and I keep pulling the one I don't want.

I think the Created date on the General tab is when the file was first saved to the PC (e.g. 08 ‎January ‎2010, ‏‎13:56:09 on a file I'm looking at), but the Content Created date on the Details tab is when the file was first created (e.g. 07/02/2005 10:54 for the same file). I have changed computer since the file was first created, so many of my files have a Created date on the General tab of 8th January 2010, but I didn't realise I'd had it for so long - wonder if I can talk my wife into upgrading it !!
