Copying Conditional Formatting Between Sheets

Hi all. I have found a really useful sheet that builds a gantt chart using conditional formatting. I would like to use it by copying the chart into a worksheet I am using to track my project logistics. Unfortunately whenever I do that all the conditional formatting is lost. Is there any quick way to copy cells and maintain their conditional formatting?

I have found that conditional formatting is copied between sheets (and indeed workbooks). However, it important to ensure that the conditional formatting can work.

For example if you copy cell E7 which will turn red if it meets a condition in A1, then if you choose to copy E7 and put it in(say) B2 (same sheet, different sheet or different book) then it cannot work.

So I am wondering if this is your problem?
