    Index and Matches

    Afternoon,

I am struggling with this spread sheet I had made. On the second sheet called Student PLC there is a box in C1 that allows you to select students from the previous sheet. However, it will not allow you to select all of the students and I do not have a clue how to expand this to include all the students.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

    Regards

How would selecting all of the students help you?
What is it you want to do?

Sorry, the box in C1, you can click on and then select the individual student. However, the box doesn't allow me to choose from all the students, the choices is only the first 20 or so, so I cannot choose any of the later ones - I only ever want to select one.

    Thanks

    Re: Index and Matches

Cell C1 contains 'Data validation'. the list chosen is the user defined name 'STUDENTS'

    Do this..

    - Go to Name Manager (Ctrl+F3)
    - Edit the named range STUDENTS to ='Eng IGCSE PLC '!$A$2:$A$31
    - Ok
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!
