    hy to all experts,

    Here I want a formula in two cells i.e. I8 & I9.
The baseline & Mitigation data is my cumulative Plan for the project.
here I want a formula in the cell I8 & I9 that if I put 28 February so the Plan Percentage should reflect in the cells.

for any reference please check the attached example sheet...

    thanks.... in advance

    Hi VICTOR55

Sorry, but I (and I suspect others) do not understand what you want.

    if I put 28 February
I note that you have put 28 in i3

[QUOTE] so the Plan Percentage should reflect in the cells [QUOTE] what figure should appear in I8 and I9? Do you mean that when you put 28 in I3, 64.37% and 12.08% should appear in I8 and I9 ?

What do you expect if you put (say) 15 in I3 (or would that never happen?)

I would like to understand your situation, but I am having difficulty !

    Regards
    Alastair

    Hi Victor,

I agree with Alastair, your requirement is not clear.

However, if your are seeking a formula to pick up the end of the month, you need to change your column headings.

If you enter 31/08/13 in C4 and use the fill handle to drag it across - then select Fill Months - you will have the EOM dates instead of the 1st of the month. I don't know if this will make life easier.

You still need to resolve the if I put 28 February comment.

    Regards,

    David

Re: formula for Cumulative Percentage (%) ?

    thanks for your replies guys,

let me explain you something that what i actually want :

the difference between in H5 to I5 is 14.89% & this 14.89% is the percentage of my Whole month of February & February have 28 days so my percentage% for
one day will be 0.53%. So the Bottom line is that when i put let say 15 February in i3 so is must multiply 15 x 0.53% = 7.98%. The same i want for Mitigation plan as well.

Hope you guys understood what i required, any clarification please let me know.

    thanks......

    thanks.....

    Try in I8:
    =I$3*(I5-H5)/DAY(EOMONTH(I$4,0))
    Copy to I9.
