    Converting multiple columns to rows

    Hi,

    This side Varun, recently joined the forum.
    I have a huge data where the there are multiple columns against a code which I want to transpose to align it vertically. I am unable to do it as the data is huge.
    Can anyone help me. Below is the example

    Available data format:

    Name 1 Name 2 Name 3 Name 4 Name 5
    A ABC XYZ DEF MNO PQR
    B GTM JKL DFG TJN ONH
    C UJH YTR DFR YHG ESD
    D POI YTR HGF JMN EWS

    Required Format:

    A Name 1 ABC
    A Name 2 XYZ
    A Name 3 DEF
    A Name 4 MNO
    A Name 5 PQR
    B Name 1 GTM
    B Name 2 JKL
    B Name 3 DFG
    B Name 4 TJN
    B Name 5 ONH
    C Name 1 UJH
    C Name 2 YTR
    C Name 3 DFR

    Its better to attach a sample file, so we can clearly understand the data layout.

    To Attach a File:

    1. Click on Go Advanced
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
    5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
    6. This will open a new window File Upload.
    7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
    8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
    9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
    10. Close the window and then click Submit.

    The file you attached appears to be corrupt.. maybe edit your post and reupload it..

    No it is a correct attachment, I tried opening it and it is opening..

    Yes, the attached file is corrupted.
    You have 5 names but 6 columns. If the attached is not what you wanted, you need to edit it and clearly show your desired result.

    Can it be done without Macros, using some formulas. As I need some Macro free file to share with operation guys...
