Formatting or data validation

Hello All

I have a column in my table Called Location i have a format of how i want people to enter data in the column
let say i enter it like B1A6 no people will come and enter it with b1a6 so i want to stop them from enter it in small caps also some time they don't look what they doing so they work accidentally enter either wording or numbers only in to field .

Is there a way i can stop that from happening

I am trying to stop people entering the data in the wrong format

I enter it as B1A1 all capitals

When i went through the table i found that some people entered it in small caps (b1a1) i want to stop that

Assuming you have locations in col. A and starts from the cell A2, then select all the cells from A2 to the desired no. of cells in col. A, click on Data Validation-->Custom-->in the formula text box, place the following formula and click ok. You can change the col. if it is other than col. A in the formula.

i cant say if it works or not it does not work for me it keep saying i am entering the data in the wrong format no matter what or how i enter the location . i there a list of arguments that i can use in the formula bar
