Is it possible to reference to a cellīs value only?

Is it possible to reference to a cellīs value only?

I am using =TODAY() formula to display current monthīs day number but it does not work properly if I use that cell in another calculation,so is it possible to reference to a cellīs value only (in order not to copy it manually) or is there maybe another formula to convert monthīs day number to numeric value?

I am not sure I understand. To reference to a cell's value only, you have the in-build Value-function, e.g.

=Value(A1)

What exactly is it that you want do you want to achieve? Convert a month's day number to a numeric value?

=DAY(TODAY())
=MONTH(TODAY())
