How to select a radioButton when click on cell not on the radioButton itself

    Hi there!

I'm working on some sort of survey for a client. He sent me an example where you can select a radiobutton by clicking on the cell that contains the radiobutton, I mean, you don愒 have to click specifically on the radiobutton itself to activate it.

As I said, in the example that I got (which is locked so I can愒 see how was done) I click the cell, the radio get activated, BUT in the file that I惴 working on I have to click exactly in the radiobutton to get it selected.

Any ideas on how to make it like the example I mentioned?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Forum!

An image attachment almost never has value. Don't attach a screenshot of your Excel file--just attach the file! It's easier than taking a screenshot first and then attaching that.

When you create a radio button, you drag it out to whatever size you want it to be. If you create it so that it fills the cell, then you can click anywhere in the cell to activate the button. In your example, there are no labels, but trust me--the radio button fills the cell.

Jeff, thanks for the quick reply!

I know that the file would be the best but here at the office they have striclty rules, and some severe NDA, I'm not likely to upload any of these files to the forum.

Your anwser makes totally sense but while trying to make the radiobutton box the same size of the cell I can't get it to be in the center of the box (can't find any option to position the radiobutton within its box), please see that image attached.

    Thanks again!

Interesting, hadn't thought of that. Do you know if these are Form controls, or ActiveX controls? It may not make a difference but it would be good to know.

Added: Quick way to tell: When hovering over the cell, does the cursor turn into a hand? If so, Form, otherwise ActiveX.

I think these are Form controls, but I'm not sure.

BUT now I was testing it to see if the cursor changes to a hand and I realised that I was wrong, is not that the whole cell is active to click, just a big part of it. They've made a big box (the radio button box) that is almost all of the cell's area but no all of if.

If you see the mini-video attached (pasted a youtube link), it seems I can't attached a small video) you will see that the cursor changes from the Excel cross to cursor when is hovering the radiobutton box.

So I think I will make the radiobutton boxes the bigger I can while keeping the radiobutton itself the most centered possible.

    Thanks to both of you!
