    Combine two tables to one

We are still struggling and would really appreciate any help. We haven't been successful applying code to solve this ....

We have two tables that we want to combine to form one table. The format is identical for all tables (see attached file).

Maybe someone has a clever solution??! Thank you in advance for any help!

Re: Combine two tables to one

We'd like to add a comment .... the new table can't have blank rows between any of the rows of data.

And if we had our Wish-List completely answered, we'd love to get the data from the two tables over to the new table by chronological-date.

    Thanks again!

    Thank you for your solution.

We tried to see how you accomplished this, but nothing was apparent. Where can we find the methodology that you used?

Also, we added a new entry to one of the tables to see if the new table would automatically update. It didn't ... should it?

    Thank you!

Re: Combine two tables to one

I used a macro code, not a formula!
I can change the code to auto update the data, but we should first wait if others could come up with a formula. It would be easy for you to maintain a formula and a code should be avoided if possible..

Why not just copy one table and paste under the other, without copying the headers of course then sort the whole combined table into order.

The actual lists are large ... and we are trying to automate the entire "system" so that any of our employees can access the data without having to perform any computer functions (like copy paste).

    So, this isn't a one time effort....correct?

Re: Combine two tables to one

That's correct. It's a Customer accounting file that continues to grow and drop accounts.

I'm starting to think that we need to hire someone to pull together the final step of this project. All the worksheets are in working order. The "missing link" is pulling data from multiple tables onto one "overall" table ... and to have the "overall" table update and grow with new accounts added.

Everything up to this point has been achieved with formulas. It seems that we've "hit the wall" with this final step .... and programming code may be needed.
