If A = B then display C in D

Hi guys!

Hoping for a (quick) salvation! I'm a total excel noob (I can do basic stuff) but I need to get something done here.

I want Excel to do the following:

If H8 matches A8 then display B8 (text) in G8.
Consequently: If H8 does not match A8 but A9, display B9 in G8
Consequently if H8 does not match A9 but A10, display B10 in G8
Etcetra

I can't do it with a simple 'if' statement as show in the screenshot (http://puu.sh/6vkV0.png). Probably because an IF statement can only display numbers and not text (?)

Been googling a solution for hours, and I didn't really get anything I could comprehend and copy over.

(And for those curious. This is just some excel practice with making rosters, team rotations and other things. Using a 'fireteam' composition of a fictional marine corps.)
