If I understand you correctly, you want to count how many times the value in Sheet2 A2 is in the range K1:K20 on sheet1
Formula:
=COUNTIF(K1:K20,Sheet2!A2)

Formula:=COUNTIF(K1:K20,Sheet2!A2)
