Problem with a text cell that is defaulting to non-text at the end

Anyone know how to get rid of these little boxes that are supposed to be text? I've changed the format to text, then general, and same thing occurs both at the viewing level and printing level. Bulk of text is fine, then last 1/4 of text is converted to small little boxes one after the other. Help! Thanks.

Try this: Copy one of these characters, press Ctrl+F, paste it into Find what box, click Replace, Replace All.

By changing to Text and General all you are doing is changing the formatting and not changing the contents of the cells. Select one of the cells with the problem then in the formula bar click in the formula bar at the right side. The cursor will go to the last character in the cell. Hold down the Shift key then Left arrow one time. Now Ctrl + C to copy that character. Hit Esc. Go to Find and Select, Replace, click in the Find What field and Ctrl + V to paste what you copied from the formula bar. Leave the replace with blank. Click on Replace All then click on OK.

Those boxes could be any of a number of different characters depending upon the character set installed on your computer. This way you should be able to get rid of them no matter what they are.
