Is there an option when freezing panes to not have that line show on the worksheet where the panes are officially frozen. I want the panes frozen just not with the black line showing. Thanks!

You can add black border to cells so you won't see where a panes frozed
Never use Merged Cells in Excel

I know. I'm not sure it can dissapear but you can mask it by creating all cells to have border of same ticknes.
