    autocorrection

    Hi,

I want to have the acronym 'NWE' (North West Europe) in a cell but EXCEL immediately corrects this into NEW.

    Can anyone advise ?

    Thx

    Re: autocorrection

Click on the File button and then Excel Options | Proofing to get to the Autocorrect options. Scroll down and you should come across NWE to change to NEW, so just select that option and delete it.

    Hope this helps.

Go to your autocorrect options, in the list there should be one that has "NWE" for replace and "NEW" for replace with, select that rule and delete it.

    Hi,

Go to Excel Options by clicking the Office button on the Ribbon,
    Select Proofing AutCorrect options
scroll down the list to find the NWE item and delete it.
