I'm hoping someone can help me solve a frustrating problem.

a) I have created "time sheet" forms in excel, that are used by employees to record their time worked each day.

b) The worksheet format and formulas (which calculate and add times) are locked and password protected (to prevent formula from accidentally being overwrtten). But the fields on the form where employees input their names and hours are not locked.

c) The timesheet is kept in a server drive that any employee can freely access as needed to obtain a new timesheet form for themselves.

PROBLEM IS: when the worksheet is copied and pasted (either into a new tab, or into an entirely new workbook) -- the protection disappears from all previously protected cells.

Is there something I can do to ensure protection/locked cells are maintained even if the spreadsheet is copied?

Thanks so much for any help you can give!
