    remove dupicate based on a single column

    hi, I am new to excel and want to remove entire record based on uniqueness of column A alone, any help will be appreciated..thanks

    Highlight the data set you want. Ribbon > Data > Data Tools > Remove Duplicates

    Hi,

    you could also use an helper column to be filtered in order to remove not unique items

    Example: your data in A2:A1000, in B2 and down

    =IF(COUNTIF($A$2:A2,A2)>1,"Remove me","")
