Grouping Dates by # of Days

I'm trying to figure out how to group shipments to a destination by ship date. If I have a ship date of 12/2, (a Monday) shipping to location A and a ship date of 12/5 (a Thursday) also shipping to location A, how can I group these two dates together to determine if I should ship all ordered product on 12/5 to avoid incemental shipping cost had I shipped them together? I want the formula to be controlled by a value, in this case "3", as in the number of days that separate the two dates and group based on that value. If the value was "2", it wouldn't suggest grouping them because there were 3 days separating the two dates.

I want the formula to capture only business days so if the value is "2" where an order for Friday and another order for Monday could be grouped together.

Please help!

Create a pivot table its the best. I have a situation similar to this at work and its perfect. Group the items by location

If you post a sample of the sheet I can help you to create it

Thanks

Re: Grouping Dates by # of Days

I'm very familiar with pivot tables so I've tried that option. What I'm looking for is going to group dates, based on a "control" cell where in the "control" cell, I can enter 1,2,3,4,..... and that number will determine the grouping range of dates. For example:

12/29/13
12/31/13
1/1/14
1/2/14
1/3/14

"3" in the control cell would group 12/29/13 and 12/31/13, but not 1/1/14.

Perhaps if you provide a sample workbook, showing examples of your expected outcome?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
