Excel 2013 - Turning off feature that automatically grabs data when inserting a plot.

    Hi,

I've tried Googling for this but I don't think I'm using the proper jargon when doing so. So, when I insert any kind of graph (in this instance, a line chart), Excel tries to be smart and grab some of the closest data. This was OK until I started using a macro to generate graphs. I'm trying to make the macro as universal as possible (I have several books it will apply to).

Is there any way to turn this feature off?

    Thanks,

    Sam

There is no way to turn that off.

Simplest way is to remove any data series from newly created chart in your code.
