    Conditional Formatting

    Hi,

    I would like to know the formula to highlight the color of text in particular cell if the value of the particular cell ( value is text ) is so and so.

    For Ex: If the J6 is "Vacation" then the J1 text should be in red color.

    Pls help

    in cell J1 put the condition formating formula =J6="Vacation"

    & COnditional formating to red colour

    You're not supposed to "Bump" your post up again within 9 minutes after asking the same question....

    It's not very hard to use conditional formatting (CF) for what you have in mind.

    Have a look at this video to get the idea. Instead of the >value in the video, you can just use text by putting the word you want to use between brackets like "this".
