    Protected view tab missing

    Hello,
Excel 2007 - need to adjust protected view settings but the protected view tab is missing from my Trust Centre settings - have the following tabs - trusted publisher / location, add-ins, activeX, macro, message bar, external content and privacy options. Document is a revenue authority download and without being able to adjust the protected view settings, can't input data.
Any suggestions / ideas would be welcome.
    Thank-you.

Add the folder location of that file in Trusted Location and check

    Re: Protected view tab missing

Thanks for reply - I have tried what you suggested but not working - still says cells are protected and cannot enter data. Tried to save as .zip file and change from there but no luck. Went to registry to see if could alter there but under my Excel Security 'branch' don't have protected view as an option.

Is there anyway to try and 'restore' the protected view tab in the Trust Center settings - don't understand why it's not appearing in the first place.

    Any suggestions welcome.

    Thanks,

    Re: Protected view tab missing

Isn't Protected View a xl2010 and later feature?

Is this just a case of the workbook and or worksheet being protected? Check the settings of the Review tab
    Cheers
