Shade a cell based on multiple values?

    Hello All,
Is there a way to shade a cell with Conditional Formatting based on 4 different values? For instance, if cell A5 has a value of 3, 4, 5, or 6, shade the cell blue. If a value is anything other than those 4, don't shade the cell.

    Thanks!

    There is a CF rule:
    'format only cells that contain'
    Then you can say:
    Cell value between two numbers.

Ok, great. That will work. Is it possible to do the same thing based on text (Monday, Tuesday, etc..)?

Yes, but not based on any particular date, just text - "Monday, Tuesday" or "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday".

Do you only want to color a cell that is equal to or F2, F3, F4, F5?

Are this (F2:F8) all the possible combinations, or are there more combinations?

Re: Shade a cell based on multiple values?

Yes, just those. We'll have classes with other days of the week, we just need to highlight any cells that have those 4 values, nothing else. The text we're using is specific - "Mon, Tues, Wed", or one of the other 3. I guess I could write 4 different conditional formatting rules that contain that specific text. I was wondering if there was an easier way. Thanx for your help!

    Those 4 contain all: 'Wed'
    The other don't contain 'Wed'
So you need just 1 rule that does a check on 'Wed':

    Format only cells that contain
    Specific text
    containing: Wed
