Web Query clearing pre clipboard.

Hi all, I've found a work around for my previous question http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...yperlinks.html , although I didn't get a reply to as why, I appreciated those that took the time to have a read.

Basically, I think I've found a much better why of going about compiling the data from individual web pages (from the same site) using Macro with 'use relative references' enabled in the dev tab and web query in data.

I'm able to pull the information and arrange it as I would like if I visit the site manually via a stand alone browser.

However, as the list in the sheet is some 300+ (and growing) I would like to crate a macro to save time. But when I copy the URL on the sheet, on opening the web query window (via ribbon Data>Get external data>From web) It is clearing the information copied to the clipboard.

I am again unable to find reference to the problem online via google or on this site. On the off chance I have reinstalled office 2007. To no avail.
