    Rounding Off

    Hi All,

    It's me again.
I wonder if EXCEL able to round off some numbers on the cell (sorry my english so bad).
    Say:
    A1 5000
    B1 5750
    C1 5678
    D1 16428 (summarize)
Is it possible to make D1 automatically change its value into 16000 or if the result 16750 then it will change to 17000?

Thanks, all master here able to provide me some solutions.

    TY&Rgds,
    faried

hi faried. of course it's possible. Excel can make coffee for you in the near future.
    =ROUND(SUM(A1:C1),-3)

-1 is to the nearest 10, -2 to the nearest hundred, & -3 to the nearest thousand

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

    Re: Rounding Off

I missed the range (I thought it was A1:A3)

    Should be
    =MROUND(SUM(A1:C1),1000)
