    Save results of filter

    Hi all,

I have a list with many rows and text within.

When I use the filter function to find a specific word in the rows I get many results.

The problem is how can I save the results since Excel offers not such an option.

    Thanks in advance.

How you are searching that specific word?

Why don't you copy and paste the arrived result manually to another location if you want to keep the result somewhere.

    Thanks for your quick respond.

    I use Home - Find & Select

In "Find what" I enter the word I am looking for and I get some thousand rows that they include this word.

But I cannot use the copy and paste function.

    Re: Save results of filter

Ok… Thanks for the brief. Instead of using Find Method just make use of Filter.

Place the cursor in the data Headers and Press Ctrl+Shift+L which will apply the Filter for the columns.

Just take the cursor to the column heading on which you would like to search for a particular text. Click the Drop down on that column heading and select Text Filters>>Click Contains>>Enter the Text>>Give Ok…

Now you can copy the arrived result to someother location by just doing a single selection of the arrived results and after selection Press Ctrl+; (semicolon) to select the visible cells alone and do the copy and paste it in somewhere.
