i have been working on this for days and can not work it out
it is a simple sum formula of 7 cells all in 1 collum when i check the arguement bok the sulution is 2 but the cell still displays 0

Maybe this is New Zealandese, but I dont quite understand what you mean?
Perhaps try translating that into aussie or english?it is a simple sum formula of 7 cells all in 1 collum when i check the arguement bok the sulution is 2 but the cell still displays 0
As an attempt at translation - check that all the numbers are actually numbers, and not text that looks like a number (test with =isnumber(cell-ref)...FALSE indicates text)
