I have a sheet which has 192 rows of data (data records). Now I block and delete 50 rows from the middle of the sheet. In that case, 50 records disappear and the sheet now only contains 142 rows (data records).

However, if I go to the lower corner of the sheet (Ctrl-End), the cursor still takes me to row 192, not row 142. This is a problem because, if I try to import the data from this sheet into an ACCESS file, ACCESS imports all 192 records, including 50 blank records from the end of the spreadsheet.

How can I reduce the number of rows in this spreadsheet so that Excel and ACCESS both understand that it only contains 142 data records, not 192?
