Database Data Template Conversion: Easiest Way

Hello,

I'm managing the import and export of two databases that need to talk to each other and need to be updated frequently. Both databases have Excel import/export formats that are different. How do I take the data given to me in one sheet and map it (and sometimes convert it) from one template to the other? Does this need to be done by macro?

General Example: Column A is LastName in one template and Column C in another template.
Column A in the other template is CustNo in one where that info is like Column F in the other spreadsheet.

Thanks for your help in advance. I'm pretty desperate for a solution at this point.
