    Question New to Excel - Need to set up a spreadsheet that will track accrued / used vacation days

    I need to figure out a way to track vacation days accrued/used for my office.

    Not many employees, accrue @ .83 hours per 40 hours worked.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated - have no clue what I'm doing!! Have tried to look up other excel forum topics but the answers seem very specific to the thread posters' specific needs.

    I suggest you first set up a spreadsheet how you envision it will look and point out to us, which cells you will enter manually and what cells you would want to have Excel populate. We can then give you the formulas (or code if required) to populate those cells based on the information you give us. You can upload a sheet with dummy data (go Advanced> Manage Attachments)

    Hmm, I'm going to have to figure that one out, unfortunately I have never done anything beyond simple data entry on excel. I don't really know how it should work or what it should look like.

    I have a simple spreadsheet that may assist. Because of your inexperience and to make it easier for you to develop the sheet, how many employees will this sheet apply to?

    Hi Steve,

    I'm needing to set up an excel spreadsheet to track employees sick/vacation accrual as well as sick/vacation time taken. I'm looking to see if there is a basic spreadsheet available that I can tweak to meet our needs. I see above that you may have something of the sort. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
