Error when pasting Excel Worksheet into Powerpoint as a MS Office Excel Worksheet Obj

I am experiencing an issue when pasting an Excel Worksheet into Powerpoint using Paste Special and choosing the default "Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object". After pasting in the worksheet, when you double click on the excel object we receive the message "There isn't enough memory to read Worksheet".

The excel workbook contains filters on a column in several of the worksheets. When the filter is applied I receive the message above. If the filter is not applied, I do not receive this message. All the filters have to be turned off in the workbook.

I wanted to see if anyone has experienced this problem and if there was anyway to get it to work without having to remove the filters.

This is occuring with both Office 2003 and Office 2007 but I am more concerned with 2007 at this point.

I also posted this question here http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthr...91#post2466191

Sorry about that. I wasn't aware. I will limit to one board and repost to this board if I do not get a response on the other board. I will paste the link to the other board if I do that.

If you just add a link here, then you may get assistance in both. You also ought to add a link to your post in the other forum (or forums - I've only noticed one so far )

Question Re: Error when pasting Excel Worksheet into Powerpoint as a MS Office Excel Worksheet Obj

    Dear Excel Masters!

I'm still having the same issue as StuartSmith in 2012. I'm running Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 on a MacBook Pro. The problem for me isn't pasting the information from excel to PPT but making sure it is updated whenever I change something in the Excel file. I've tried having PPT or Excel or both open and closed, the error I get is the same as StuartSmith when I want to update the Excel data in PPT by right clicking on it and selecting "edit worksheet object". I inserted the worksheet into excel by "paste special" into powerpoint with the option paste as "microsoft excel worksheet object". My powerpoint is a pptx file, my excel file a xlsx one.

Would really appreciate any help, thanks a million in advance!
