When filtering shows irrelevant last row

When I am filtering it shows an extra row in the end (last row), which has nothing to do with the filter. It's not even blue on the left side (to symbolize it's filtered).

Why would someone want to see some random row in the end? someone knows how to disable it?

    Thanks

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Thanks, I know that. I thought it's some general known issue.

    Will attach the later tonight.

Re: When filtering shows irrelevant last row

Here is a typical example of what you describe...

    Data Range
    A
    B
    C
    1
    Count
    Type
    On/Off
    2
    1
    x
    0
    3
    2
    x
    1
    4
    3
    z
    0
    5
    4
    z
    0
    6
    5
    a
    1
    7
    6
    a
    0
    8
    7
    x
    1
    9
    8
    z
    1
    10
    9
    a
    1
    11
    10
    x
    1
    12
    11
    z
    1
    13
    12
    a
    0

Column A contains this formula that returns a row by row count of records:

    =SUBTOTAL(3,B$1:B1)

If you include column A in the filter then you filter column B on "x" or "z" you'll get the unexpected result you describe.

The solution is to not include column A in the filter. Just apply the filter to columns B and C.
