    Printing with .JPEG

Hi all, first post to the forum as I am entirely stuck.

I'm trying to work out how to print a spreadsheet in Excell 2013, however every time I try it clears itself of all .JPEG images and prints without them. I am trying to simply sign the spreadsheet using a JPEG as the sign feature also includes unwated info such as 'signed by:'

Any idea how to print in 2013 and keep jpegs?

    Thanks,

    Dylan

The same thing happens when trying to convert the spreadsheet to a PDF, the JPEG is just removed

Is the printing set to Draft Quality in the page setup?

the same issue is not present on other machines in the office, it is only one machine running windows 8 and office 2013 that is causing the issue. It also shows (only on the problem machine) that the file is 'read only' in the name of the file at the top of the window, but the spreadsheet is entirely editable (if that makes sense).

No it's not set to draft quality. By playing about I have found it isn't deleting the JPEGs, but its moving them down and off the bottom of the page, so if I place the image at the top of the page it moves it to the middle when I print.

A read-only workbook is editable but you may not save it unless you use SaveAs.

These issues are usually related to printer driver problems - are there other machines with the same OS, Office and printers that you may test?

    Re: Printing with .JPEG

The machine causing issues is an iMac desktop PC but with Windows 8 as the only OS, this is the only one we have in the office, all others run Mac OS X with Windows 8 running on VMWare, so cannot replicate the exact set up to test on other machines.

The spreadsheet automatically opens as a read only file on the problem machine, but on others opens as fully editable, is there a setting in excell 2013 that would cause this?

Where is the file in fact stored?

locally on the computer, but the same problem occurs when opening an email attachment. ignore the read only part, even saving it and opening it in normal mode does the same thing. It seems to sometimes move the JPEG down the page, and other times delete it entirely, cant make any sense of it.

I have just tried to update printer drivers and they are up to date. I am wondering if a wipe and reinstall of office may be worth a try?

I think so but perhaps you can check the Trust Center settings on that computer against those on a computer that works, particularly looking at Protected mode settings.

Does this computer use the same printer as the others?

    SOLVED

The trust centre settings were all the same.

I just deleted the printer and all drivers and reinstalled, now it works no problem. Not sure what was going on but we're all good now, thanks for the help!
