    Retrieve value

I need to make an IF statement that when it's true it need to retrieve the values from a different column. With what function is it possible to just retrieves values?

    Thanks!

    Edit:

where <condition> is an expression that you want to determine if it's true, B1 is a reference to a value in a different column (or anywhere at all), and <false result> is what you want to happen if the condition is false.

This is a fundamental feature of Excel. You can find more in the Excel Help page for the IF function.

    Re: Retrieve value

Thanks! Got it work, almost, was just thinking in the wrong way

Just one more thing. I'm returning the value from a pivot table that is filtered so there are a lot of hidden rows which means that it will only return a value if the rows correspond is there a way to make it return values sequentially rather than chronologically?

    Re: Retrieve value

After some research I think I need to use the Offset function - but I can't get that to work as I, presumably, need to specify all the rows which is not very desirable because it's about 7000 rows. Anybody that know how to return values from a filtered pivot table?
