Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to look at my question and sample file.
I have a worksheet of sample data (attached, "DataSliceSample_EXAMPLE), with 50 companies in column A. The table includes revenue growth rates for each company from 2000 until 2013. At the bottom of the table, I've calculated some elementary statistics: the maximum, median, minimum, and the first quartile.
Here is my problem: I want to identify which companies are consistently performing in the bottom 25%. If I only had one year to look at, this would be easy: I would just filter out companies with a growth rate outside of my first, lowest quartile. However, I have 14 different periods to look at. I know that the bottom 25% will change from year to year, but I need to know if any trends exist. Is there an easy way to do this in Excel, either with a table, chart, or other method?
Thank you for reading.
