    Formatting: [$-1010409]0.00 - Any Idea?

Hey all. I have a strange cell format that I cannot find any info on. I was given a file to work on and in most of the data cells, there are custom formats:
[$-1010409]0.00, [$-409]dddd, mmmm dd, yyyy, etc.

I'm told that the file was originally created from a SQL Server db (using excel vba ado).
Does the "wierd" formatting come from SQL Server or is it something else?

Your help in this is greatly appreciated.

    Don

Thanks. I see from your url that it is a LOCALE code. Have never seen it before. I appreciate the education.

Our Payroll system uses ADP ETime. When I extract raw data from the .xls file the output given is essentially a char array reflecting Time elapsed in days, since 1/1/1900. Within excel This locale/code is used to parse and display that string and output a time, and adjust for timezone in the worksheet. In excel our work cells are formatted with [$-1010409]hh:mm:ss AM/PM. So if the raw data is = 41528.41667, then excel will format the cell as = 10:00:00 AM.

I store the parsed raw data in an MSSQL table, and use it externally without any formatting.
