thanks for your response, i have not yet setup a spreadsheet at the moment i am currently working on it, i will have a look at the excel rota templates as they look like a great starting point, i am looking at the 24-48 fixed schedule at the moment. i basically need the template to issue two staff for each 24 hour shift i know there is shifts that will need covering with overtime or stand in staff! but is there anyway i can get this template to generate a rota that will ensure that no staff are working two days consecutive and also the the part time staff and another full time member of staff are unable to work together due to the nature of the work. this is a massive puzzle i am setting myself up for but if i means i am getting more time with my other half i am willing to put in the time to sort it! any pointers would be amazing
