I have about 30 rows of formulas. When I enter the numbers into each line I get some lines that end in $0.00 (as it should) and other lines that end in $(0.00). How do I get rid of the brackets when 0.00 is not a negative number?

Change format to numbers and select the first for negative numbers.

Hi herbie69 & Welcome to the Forum,
Please work on a title that better describes your problem the next time you post, thanks.
I would say you need to look at the format of the cell.
With one to the cells with the (), right click the cell and select format cells.
Maybe it is formatted as Accounting or even a Custom format...
Try changing it to
For a hot key, you could also select Ctrl + Shift + 1 which will make the number two decimal places

teh () will ONLY be used for a negative number, so if you look properly, you will find that the (0.00) are in fact negative, but you can only see to 2 decimal places.
Assuming the cell has a formula, on the cell, press F2 and then F9, it will show the answer.
To fix this, maybe use one of the round() formulas?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Sorry about the lack of a title. New at this. Both rows are formatted as accounting. They use the same formulas in each row which is what makes no sense that they show up the way the do.
Hi herbie69,
What results do you desire? The () are indicating a negative number. Do you or do you not want ()?
If not, highlight the range and Ctrl + Shift + 1.
This will make all the numbers two decimal places and if negative the negative sign will show...
You have marked this thread as solved - is that indeed the case? (just curious)
Yes, thank you!
