    How to freeze some cells?

    Hello Sir,

I just want to freeze some cells to ensure that they are not affected when I do 'Replace All'. I know I can select those cells and do replace, but I'm still worried that some other cells may be inadvertently replaced as well. I want to have complete confidence to freeze those cells and leave them untouched.

    Thank you.

Could you give some example data to clearly illustrate what your problem is?

Re: How to freeze some cells?

As an example, suppose cells A1:E100 have text values of "Hello", and cells X1:Z100 also have text values of "Hello". Now I do a 'Replace All' to replace text "Hello" with "Hi" for cells X1:Z100, but I don't want this action to affect cells A1:E100. This means that values in cells A1:E100 have been locked!

Re: How to freeze some cells?

My question is simply: how to protect some range of cells, rather than the whole sheet or workbook?
