Hello,
In Excel 2010 I'm trying to copy a conditional format (3-color, green for max, red for min, white for midpoint)
FROM a column of numbers with ONE decimal place
TO several other columns of numbers with TWO decimal places.
All columns need to be tested for their own respective max's and min's separately, so I paste one column at a time.
But if I use "Paste Special" > "All Merging Conditional Formats", it copies the values as well.
If I use "Paste Special" > Formats, then it doesn't paste values, but it pastes ALL formatting INCLUDING the number format, which I don't want to change in the target cells. (Note: I see this suggestion in some earlier posts in this forum responding to "How to copy ONLY conditional formatting", but for me it also pastes the number format, which I don't want.)
The same thing happens if I use the Format Painter.
IS there any way, in Excel 2010, to paste ONLY conditional formats, without changing any other formatting in the target cell?
If the only way is with VBA, and you know a little sample code, please point me to it. I tried recording a couple of macros, but haven't yet figured out how I'd do this with VBA.
Many thanks!
