    Removing email addresses from list

I have an excel file that is one row and it is all email addresses.
I have a list of 600 email addresses I need to REMOVE from the list -- Is there a way I can easily type these somewhere in Excel and have them automatically suppressed from the data entirely?

    Thank you!

Re: Removing email addresses from list

You are asking us if there is any logic to easily remove these email addresses?
IS there any logic to identify the ones you want to remove?

Is the whole row full of email addresses AND you ONLY want to remove email addresses?

Re: Removing email addresses from list

The whole row is email addresses.... 50K of them.
Then, I have 600 addresses that MAY be included, and I want to remove them from the stack if they are in there.
Email marketing programs have tools you can use to suppress this data but I figure there must be an easy way to just copy and paste them into excel and remove them?

    Thank you.

I am pretty sure you mean one COLUMN of many rows and NOT 60k columns. o_O

Add them to the botttom, then use the REMOVE DUPLICATES function.

    Yep, I meant columns.

Wait....... Your saying "Remove Duplicates" removes BOTH of the duplicates??

Re: Removing email addresses from list

Paste the 600 in a column as REMOVE
    use countif to detect duplicates
    filter on duplicates
    delete duplicate rows
    unfilter
    enjoy life

Re: Removing email addresses from list

Post a sample data set. Everything else is a waste of our time.

Actually I went ahead and did that for you since I am done for the evening.
Here is what I would do:

    duplicate emails.xlsx

In the future I suggest you post a sample data set so time isn't wasted trying to extract data from you. It will greatly increase the chances that people will help and will help everyone involved.

Luckily for you I am waiting on a powerpivot to pull in all 15m rows of my data and the network is garbage today. LoL

I'll try to figure it out, was hoping there was an easy button like the "Remove Duplicates".

    Thanks
