Stop Autofill affecting hidden rows in a table?

Hey- I'm working in Excel 2011 on a Mac. I have a large table and I need to edit information on multiple rows that share cell values (album titles, Artist, etc.) but are spread throughout the 70,000+ row spreadsheet. The problem is, when I filter a column to edit info for a single album and try to use autofill to apply changes to all the displayed rows, Excel fills that information into all the hidden rows, giving me thousands of incorrectly marked rows. How do I get the program to only apply changes to visible rows in a filter situation?

If you use <copy> (the first cell) and <paste> (into highlighted cells) this should only affect the visible rows.

That seems to do the trick, thanks... Now I can do work, but is there a preference I can set so that I can use the fill handle to accomplish the same task?
