    Exclamation Finding a name in a cell within a worksheet in another worksheet

    Hi there,

    Ina bit of keruffle here. I have searched the forum for what I thought would be a simple solution but its just not happening.

    Heres the problem:

    I have three work sheets.

    Worksheet A contains the Names that I want to find in Worksheet B and C. Trouble is, the format of the names are different in each Worksheet.

    For example:

    Worksheet A, Column 'Name':
    Kyle Rowlie

    Worksheet B, Column 'Name':
    Kyle Rowlie, Head of Excel

    Worksheet A, Column 'Name':
    Rowlie, Kyle

    What I need to do is create two columns in Worksheet A that identifies Kyle Rowlie is duplicated in Worksheet B and C.

    Copy of NameCheck v2.xlsxThanks for the response. This works well for matching Sheet 1 to Sheet 3 but does not work for the matching I specified on Sheet 2.

    I've attached the adjusted name for Sheet 2. Does this make it more complicated?

    Change the Sheet2 B2 formula to: =ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2&"*", Sheet2!A:A, 0))
    ...and copy down.
