Autofill a cell once data has been entered?

Hey guys,

I've a sheet here which uses a formula to calculate a future date. If no data exists in the row then the cell displays blank.
When a user enters data and this future date is calculated is it possible for excel to autofill this newly populated cell in yellow?

I think what you are looking for is Conditional Formatting.

In one of my workbooks I use a simple formula for future dates like this applied to Column A =$A3>TODAY()

A formula like that could do what you want. I don't know what your parameters are for a future date so can't go further.

Thanks for the response. I was guessing it was Conditional Formatting alright but I only need excel to color fill the cell if it has data in it, if blank then no fill.
