Deselect all cells in range except top left cell

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the following?

I have a range selected (A4:C15)

I would like to deselect the range and make A4 the active cell. Is this possible without a macro?

With a macro, one could use:
Application.Goto Selection.Cells(1)

I generally select a large number of cells and would like to go back to the start cell in the range. I could do it by pressing the left and right arrow keys but is there a shortcut that will allow me to do the same?

I am using Excel 2007.

Why not Click on cell A4?

You can Make A4 a Named Range then you can select goto, to take you there.

Pressing Ctrl and G and an arrow will move you quickly around the worksheet.

Pressing Cyrl G and Home takes you to A1.

Mehmet, thanks for your reply. I just wanted an easy way to go back to get rid of the selection but stay at the anchor cell.

SHIFT + Backspace will do the trick.

This key combination will remove the selection but keep the cursor at cell currently active.
