excel 2013 ctrl + a wont select all

Good day,

Dumb question but I need to ask ...

I have windows 8 and excel 2013, I want to select all the cells in a specific area,

normal this is done by pressing ctrl + A, however my excel is in Spanish,

and in Spanish that is the shortcut for (Abrir), which is to open a a document (same as ctrl + O)

when looking for shortcuts online in Spanish it says using ctrl + A selects all the cells,

does anyone know how to change that? or how to select all the cells?

i tried Ctrl + O just in case it could work ^^

Ctrl + Q (quick analysis seems to work)

I tried the Ctrl + E but it seems to make a smart quick fill which doesn't work ...

but thanks for the website, I can look up lots of other shortcuts ^^
