Hi,
I have a spread sheet with a number of lists, if a cell was copied and then I immediately access a list, the copied data is populated in the list - is there a way to stop this?
Thanks![]()

Hi,
Impossible to understand what you're getting at unless we can see the workbook in question. Upload it and tell us precisely what you are doing step by step, what happens and what you expect to happen, with references to specific cells and/or sheets.

Please see attached,
if you copy an entry from A5 and then try and select an item from a list (I5 as an example), the clipboard data is saved, not the dropdown item.

Indeed it is.
Seems like it's the 'Enter' action which overrides any validation selection, and the default first entry for the Enter is the clipboard item.
Just as a matter of interest why do you need to copy a cell and then choose from an unrelated validation list without first cancelling the clipboard copy cell.
