Excel 2003: Importing XML data, would like it to run in on same row of spreadsheet.

    Hello,
Two weeks ago I didn't know how to add a column of numbers in Excel and I didn't even know Adobe Acrobat could build web forms. Now I'm close to having a web-based form for football coaches to give my newspaper preseason information and being able to import it into a spreadsheet. Reading this site has been a big reason I've been able to figure so much of this out. But now I appear to be stuck.

The problem: When I import XML data, each new category goes on a new line. Because there are a couple hundred entry points, that makes for a tough-to-use spreadsheet. It looks like this:

    Column A, Column B, Column C, Column, D, Column E
    Data - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
    - - - - Data - - - - - - - - - - - -
    - - - - - - - - Data - - - - - - - -
    - - - - - - - - - - - - Data - - - -
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Data

Further complicating things, the second page of the PDF form generates chart info -- a list of names with first name, last name, height, weight, position, etc -- nine fields in total. I have figured out how to set up the form so that each entry (all the first names, for instance) stack up in the same column, but then the next column starts on the next row down, the same effect as above.

When I play with the selections in the Title rows trying to get them to line up, a blue box just constricts and will not show any data at all.

As with most of the other sticking points I've run across, there probably is a very simple answer. But this time I can't find it online. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

By the way, the flow is out of order on the chart because I set up an XML map to move some of the contents (columns) to the left or right in the overall package.
