Read Only Files

I recently completed some Excel programming and sent it to a friend. He had been working on it with me as "my Beta tester". All of a sudden when I send it to him he is receiving it as a read only file. What has happened and what do I have to do to allow him open and use the file.

It's an email protection. All he needs to do is right click the file,"Save As" and rename the file before opening.
