    Locking Rows

I was wondering if there is a way to lock rows so that no one can change them by inserting another row? I have formulas set up in another sheet which reference certain rows in another sheet. I also need to be able to copy and paste info so I can't lock the sheet for editing. Any help would be helpful.

    Re: Locking Rows

If you unlock all the cells in the sheet (or only lock those that are necessary). You can then protect the sheet with "Select locked cells" checked. They won't be able to insert rows, but you can still copy and paste into any unlocked cell.

To unlock all cells, select entire sheet with arrow in top left corner. Right click, format cells, protection tab, then uncheck 'Locked'.
You can then re-lock specific cells that you need to.

Alternatively, if you convert all of your data into tables, then your formulas SHOULD (I think) detect whether a new row has been inserted and alter their references accordingly.
