    Dynamic Named Ranges

I know how to create a dynamic range using INDEX & COUNTA that will adjust as more data is added in subsequent rows and I know how to make charts adjust by using those named ranges.
What I want to do in this instance is create a named range in column A that starts at the value matching cell F3 and ends at the value matching cell F4.

This would allow the user to adjust the dates in F3 & F4 and the named range would control the X axis of the chart.

Worth noting that the values in F3 & F4 will be controlled by data validation so they will always be the 1st of a month but shown as MMM-YY. This means they will always exact match values in column A.

    Is this possible?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Re: Dynamic Named Ranges

You can set up a dynamic range for Date like this in the Refers to box in Name Manager:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    and for Value like this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Dynamic Named Ranges

    Many thanks Pete.

I'm sure I tried exactly that, but for some strange reason it came up with an error.
I'm thinking I missed a closing bracket or similar.

    Anyhoo, all fixed now.

    Thanks again.

    Off to mark as SOLVED.
